Reading Technics: Step 3

Assalamualaikum

Today, we will continue our discussion on reading technic. I’ve touched step 1 and step 2 earlier. So, I will continue on step 3

step 3: Read

Now it’s time for us to read. Yes, R.E.A.D. perhaps this is the most important step in order to make our “mission” accomplish. :) Read only the chosen topic. for some beginner(like me :) ),make sure that our topic will not exceed our reading ability. Try to choose an easy one first.

Do not read blunderly. Read but in the same time, try to search answers for your questions previously( read step 1 and step 2 articles in TIPS PEMBELAJARAN for further details). If we read “Teknik Songsang”, try to find the answers for question “Apa itu teknik songsang?”

Try to answer this question.If we could not find the answer during our first-time reading, read again and again until we can find the answer. If we have the ability to answer the question, its mean that we have already understand what we are read. Good Luck :)

Insya Allah I will resume to method 4 which is RECITE, next time. Assalamualaikum.

a warm regard to you siham… :wink: you want to know some technique on how to read the newspaper or articles ? fine…

first, reading newspapers or articles perhaps can be more easier than reading education-based books.Because newspapers contain a lot of fun articles(its up to us actually :wink: ).

To read newspaper efficiently, first of all we use SKIMMING technique. SKIMMING means reading(something) quickly, noting that only the important points. After skimming, you can read throughly again to get the true idea about the article.

For examples, if you’re a football fan, what will you do first when you are reading articles or news about football ? You will look for the number of goals first. Right ?

Then you will search for scorers for that goals. Here, number of goals and scorers will be your important points.you will Skim the news or articles only to get to this points.

After you got the rough idea. Then you may proceed to read that articles or news throughly.
